Shares of casual dining restaurant chain Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (NASDAQ: CBRL) plunged 16.2% during May, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence. The company rocked investors on May 16 when it cut its $1.30-per-share quarterly dividend by 80% to just $0.25 per share.

How did Cracker Barrel perform in the third quarter?

The Tennessee-based company said that its third quarter total revenue came in at $817.1 million — down 1.9% compared to the same period last year. Cracker Barrel also reported that its comparable store restaurant sales dipped by 1.5% while comparable store retail shares were down 3.8%.
